Jack Sorenson grew up on a dude ranch that his father ran near the Palo Duro Canyon in Texas. He spent his early years training horses but eventually gave that up to devote himself to being a full-time artist. “I’ve known all my life I was going to be an artist”, he says. “It’s like a preacher being called. It’s what I’m supposed to do.” To the delight of his collectors, Jack’s humor is often a primary ingredient in his art. His situational paintings of the antics of his nephew, Ethan, can’t help but bring a smile to your face and perhaps a distant memory to mind.
